This month’s featured speaker is Jonathan Brown, Director for Palm Beach County’s Housing & Economic Development (HED), which oversees the County’s business, community, and affordable / workforce housing programs and initiatives.
Prior to his current position, Jonathan worked as the Housing and Community Development (HCD) Manager, as well as the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Manager for the City of Fort Lauderdale.
Jonathan has over 20 years of experience in affordable and workforce housing, economic development, and banking/lending. He holds the following degrees and certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University
- Graduate of the National Forum for Black Public Administrators – Executive Leadership Institute
- Certified Redevelopment Professional through the Florida Redevelopment Association
- Certified Economic Development Finance Professional through the National Development Council
- Certified Green Belt for process improvements through the Institute of Industrial Engineers
- Certified Homeownership Counselor through NeighborWorks America
- Certified Master Trainer through Langevin Learning Services
